Tusk on Scholz's call with Putin: No one can stop him with talks
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. However, phone calls will not stop the Kremlin leader, states Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"No-one will stop Putin with phone calls. The attack last night, one of the biggest in this war, has proved that telephone diplomacy cannot replace real support from the whole West for Ukraine," Tusk emphasized.
He noted that the coming weeks will be decisive not only for the war itself but also for the future of the world.
Scholz's conversation with Putin
Recall that on November 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a phone call with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. These were the first such talks in two years.
It is worth mentioning that, according to Tusk, after the phone conversation with Putin, Scholz reached out to him.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that yesterday former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba revealed that before calling Putin, Scholz discussed the matter with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
However, Zelenskyy expressed his opposition to the idea at that time.
