After a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz contacted Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the Polish Prime Minister wrote about this on Twitter (X).

According to Tusk, Scholz told him about his conversation with Putin.

"I was pleased to learn that the chancellor not only clearly condemned Russian aggression but also reiterated Poland's position: nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine," noted the Polish Prime Minister.

Scholz and Putin's conversation

Today, November 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. These were the first such talks in two years.

According to Tagesschau, the call lasted about an hour.

The press service of the German government confirmed Scholz's talks with Putin.

In particular, the head of the German government condemned Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine and urged the Kremlin leader to end it and withdraw troops.

At the same time, it was added that Scholz had spoken with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in advance and would do so again after the talks with Putin.
