A massive fire broke out at a turbine plant in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The flames engulfed about 1,000 square meters of the tool shop, according to Russian media.

The cause of the fire remains unknown. All emergency services of the city have arrived at the scene.

The plant manufactures equipment for energy infrastructure, including for nuclear and thermal power plants, as well as turbines for nuclear vessels and energy facilities. In particular, it produces condensing and cogeneration turbines.

On October 6, two drones attacked the Tyumen oil refinery in Russia, located 2,000 kilometers from Ukraine. The strike damaged a distillation column and part of the water supply system.

Earlier, on October 3, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck one of Russia’s leading oil refineries — Orsknefteorgsintez, located about 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

The combined efforts of the SBU, Special Operations Forces (SSO), Defence Intelligence (HUR), and the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have disabled about 20% of the refining capacity in the aggressor state, triggering a fuel crisis and complicating logistics.

The city of Orsk in Russia was attacked by aircraft-type strike drones. At least two drones hit the refinery.

Before that, SBU drones had targeted and disabled the Tyngovatovo oil pumping station in Russia’s Chuvash Republic.

RBC-Ukraine also reported that Ukrainian drones carried out a historic strike on Russia’s oil industry, paralyzing 38% of its refineries.
