Today, October 3, long-range drones of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck one of Russia's leading oil refineries. The target was Orsknefteorgsintez, located 1,400 km from the Ukrainian border, according to sources.

According to the source, the SBU's long-range strike drones once again hit a target 1,400 km away, this time in the town of Orsk.

Drones struck the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in the Orenburg region of the Russian Federation. This refinery has four primary oil processing units with a capacity of 6.6 million tons of oil per year.

According to the source, the plant produces about 30 types of various products: gasoline, diesel fuel, oils, aviation kerosene, bitumen, and fuel oil.

The video shows columns of black smoke rising above the refinery after the arrival of the SBU's Center of Special Operations A. The plant announced an evacuation, and the local authorities in Orsk urged people not to panic.

"The SBU continues to cause serious damage to the Russian economy by targeting the oil and gas industry of Russia. The reduction in oil dollar revenues to the budget directly affects the aggressor's ability to continue the war against Ukraine," the statement said.

The informed source specified that almost 40% of Russian oil refinery capacity is already idle, and they will continue to work to increase this figure.

Attacks on Russian oil facilities

Attacks on Russian oil facilities reduce fuel reserves for the occupying army and cause economic losses to the Kremlin's war machine.

The coordinated work of the Security Service of Ukraine, Special Operations Forces, Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine disabled a total of about 20% of Russia's oil refining capacity, causing a fuel crisis and complicating logistics.

The Russian city of Orsk was attacked by aircraft-type strike drones. At least two drones flew into the oil refinery. An alarm was also heard.

Before that, SBU drones struck and disabled the Tynogovato oil pumping station in the Chuvash Republic of Russia.

In total, Ukrainian drones dealt a historic blow to the Russian oil industry, paralyzing 38% of oil refineries.
