Trump weighs in on whether Starmer will resign

US President Donald Trump has commented on the future of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, stating that he will resign, reports CNN.
"Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of The United Kingdom," Trump wrote on Truth Social.
According to the British news agency PA Media, Trump has not spoken with Starmer since the leaders met at the G7 summit last week.
The US president also criticized the British prime minister in his post, stating that ineffective policy would be the reason for his political downfall.
"He failed badly on two very important subjects – IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY," Trump concluded, calling for oil extraction to begin in the North Sea.
Earlier, the US leader repeatedly called on the British government to lift the moratorium on issuing new licenses for oil and gas exploration in the North Sea and criticized British wind farms.
Starmer's possible resignation
A few days ago, the media reported that UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer would resign today, on Monday, June 22. He concluded that remaining in office was no longer possible.
On Sunday, UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper privately urged Prime Minister Starmer to resign.
