US President Donald Trump has announced new strikes on Iran. "A whole civilization" could die, said the American leader on Truth Social.
"A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will," he wrote.
Trump said that a different regime, with "smarter and less radicalized minds," has come to power in Iran. He did not rule out that "something revolutionarily wonderful can happen."
"We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!" the US President emphasized.
Trump’s threats
Yesterday, April 6, US President Donald Trump said he could destroy Iran overnight, and that it could happen on the night of April 8.
The statement came amid the Iranian regime’s refusal to meet his deadline. The US President demanded that Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz by 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on April 7.
If his conditions are not met, Trump promised to destroy all of Iran’s power plants. He also said that other facilities would be targeted.
At the same time, today, April 7, an unnamed Axios source said that the US leader could postpone such a strike at the last moment.
