The United States is making progress in ending the war between Ukraine and Russia. It needs to be put to an end, stated US President Donald Trump.

"We've made a lot of progress with Ukraine and Russia over the last couple of days. It will be great to bring that to an end," he said.

Pressure on Ukraine

On Tuesday, March 4, the United States stopped providing Ukraine with military aid, which the Joe Biden administration had promised to provide.

On Wednesday, March 5, it became known that the US government had decided to stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.

Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth emphasized that the decision to cut off military assistance was only a “pause.” Assistance will be resumed when there is a “true commitment to a path to peace.”

US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg noted that the US is actively pressuring Ukraine and Russia to bring them to the negotiating table.

At the same time, Bloomberg wrote that the US government wants Ukraine to agree to a quick ceasefire with Russia. This is a condition for signing a minerals deal with the US.
