Trump to visit Israel soon as part of Gaza peace efforts – Media

US President Donald Trump is set to arrive in Israel at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, according to The Times of Israel.
The date was reported by the Kan public broadcaster, although the American leader himself has not yet confirmed it.
Currently, the Knesset building in Jerusalem is illuminated in red, white, and blue in anticipation of Trump's visit. A Knesset spokesperson said the lighting will remain until the end of the US President's visit.
It was also reported that during a phone call on Wednesday, October 9, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu invited Trump to address the Knesset. Whether the US President accepted the invitation remains unclear.
Gaza agreement
In the early hours of Thursday, October 9, Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had signed the first stage of the US peace plan.
He said Hamas had effectively agreed to release all 48 hostages, while Israel would withdraw its troops to an agreed line.
On Wednesday, October 8, the US President announced his upcoming trip to the Middle East, which he said would likely take place on Sunday, October 12.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Hamas militants are expected to release all hostages in the first half of next week, while the final Gaza peace deal is scheduled to be signed in Egypt.
