Trump to speak with Putin before meeting Zelenskyy – Axios

US President Donald Trump will hold a phone call with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Thursday, October 16, Axios reports.
A source told the outlet that the American President will speak with Putin today to discuss the war in Ukraine.
The call will take place a day before Trump hosts Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House.
It is known that Trump and Zelenskyy will discuss the possible transfer of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
Meeting between Trump and Zelenskyy
On Friday, October 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with US President Donald Trump in Washington. The leaders are expected to discuss, among other things, potential deliveries of long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine.
During his visit to Washington, Zelenskyy will also hold private meetings with US defense and energy companies and speak in Congress ahead of his talks with Trump.
In addition, the media reported that the US President will discuss with his Ukrainian counterpart Ukraine's plans to launch an offensive.
