Trump to hold talks with Zelenskyy during UN General Assembly in New York

President Donald Trump of the United States will meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced.
According to her, the meeting between Zelenskyy and Trump will take place on Tuesday, September 23.
In addition to Zelenskyy, Trump has scheduled meetings with the UN Secretary-General and the leaders of Argentina and the European Union.
"Tonight, the President will depart for New York City ahead of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. He will be joined in New York City by the First Lady. Tomorrow morning, President Trump will deliver a major speech targeting a renewal of American strength around the world, his historic accomplishments in just 8 months, including the ending of 7 global wars and conflicts. The President will also touch on how globalist institutions significantly damaged the world order, and he will articulate his straightforward and constructive vision for the world," Leavitt said.
Zelenskyy–Trump meeting
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Trump might meet with Zelenskyy. According to him, such a meeting would likely take place within the framework of the UN General Assembly high-level week.
Also today, Zelenskyy drew attention to the fact that Russia carried out a massive strike on Ukraine on the eve of the start of the UN General Assembly. He emphasized that this is already the fourth time that Russia has accompanied this annual diplomatic event with killings.
"That is precisely why it is so important for this diplomatic week to be productive. Action must be taken so that murder and war do not become routine. Real, powerful pressure on Russia is needed; new joint steps from everyone in the world who believes that international law must work again," Zelenskyy said.
