Trump to deliver evening statement at White House

US President Donald Trump will deliver a statement to the press at the White House this evening at 21:00 Kyiv time, according to the president's schedule.
Trump will address the press pool at 14:00 local time in the Roosevelt Room.
Before his speech, the US president will hold a meeting of the American government.
Trump's statement may concern the progress of peace negotiations to end the war in Ukraine and the outcomes of discussions on the United States' peace plan.
What preceded
After the US peace plan, consisting of 28 points, was announced, the Ukrainian delegation met several times with its American counterparts.
On November 29, the Ukrainian delegation traveled to the United States for further discussion of the peace plan. The negotiations began the following day, November 30.
It is known that the United States wants to resolve disagreements with Ukraine on two key points of the peace plan, primarily concerning territorial issues and security guarantees.
After the meeting, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the parties made progress, adding that the negotiations are complex.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who heads the Ukrainian delegation, informed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy about the results. He noted significant progress toward achieving a just peace and said the positions of Ukraine and the United States have grown closer.
Meanwhile, media reports that yesterday, December 1, Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff traveled to Moscow to continue negotiations with the Russian side.
