Trump tells Putin he wasn't aware of SBU airbase attack plans

US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation. Among the topics discussed was Ukraine's Operation Spiderweb, stated Yuri Ushakov, Putin's aide, according to Interfax.
"Trump once again confirmed that the Americans had not been informed in advance about the strikes on military airfields," Ushakov said.
Operation Spiderweb
On Sunday, June 1, explosions were heard at several airfields across Russia.
It was later confirmed that the airfields had come under attack by drones launched by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). These drones had been concealed in modular houses, transported by trucks.
As a result of the Ukrainian operation, 41 Russian aircraft were either damaged or destroyed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia will be unable to repair at least half of them.
According to the head of state, such a strike is helping to shift the rhetoric in the United States, particularly the narrative that Ukraine supposedly has no cards to play.
Notably, Russian leader Vladimir Putin, during his complaints to government officials on June 4 about Ukrainian attacks, did not even mention the operation.
