Trump suggests Ukraine could reclaim part of occupied territories

Ukraine may be able to reclaim some of the territories occupied by Russia, but it will be difficult, stated President Donald Trump during a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
Journalists asked Trump whether Ukraine could regain the territories occupied by Russia and whether it might have to make territorial concessions.
Trump stated that territorial issues were part of negotiations that were just beginning. He acknowledged that reclaiming the territories would not be easy but expressed hope that Ukraine could regain at least some of them.
What the US says about Ukraine's possible concessions
Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that peace between Ukraine and Russia would be “some sort of demarcation that neither side wants.”
At the same time, US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg admitted that Ukraine might have to make territorial concessions as a result of the peace process.
At the same time, Kellogg emphasized that the loss of territories does not have to be legally recognized.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assured that Ukraine would never legally recognize the occupied territories as part of Russia.
