Trump seeks quick results: Source reveals details of conversation with Zelenskyy

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, during a conversation with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, made it clear that he wants to achieve significant results regarding the cessation of the war in Ukraine as soon as possible, according to RBC-Ukraine, citing its sources.
"The conversation was quite substantive. We agreed that on Monday, with Trump, it will be necessary to discuss various details, and how, in principle, we will move forward," a source of RBC-Ukraine said.
According to him, there were serious expectations that, as a result of the meeting between Trump and the Russian dictator Volodymyr Putin in Alaska, it would be possible to agree on a ceasefire, but Putin opposed this.
At the same time, the interlocutor confirmed information that, instead of an immediate ceasefire, the Russian dictator wants to achieve all of his political whims regarding Ukraine immediately. At the same time, Trump will continue to try to achieve some results as quickly as possible.
Meeting of Trump and Putin in Alaska

After the negotiations, Trump stated that it was not possible to reach an agreement regarding Ukraine; however, "some progress exists." On the way to Washington, he held telephone conversations with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the leaders of NATO countries.
Zelenskyy reported that he will already leave for Washington on Monday, August 18, to discuss the war with the American president.
In the media, there also appeared information that Trump and Putin managed to reach an agreement on a ceasefire in the sky. At the same time, the adviser to the President of Ukraine on communications, Dmytro Lytvyn, noted that Ukraine "heard nothing" about this agreement.
