Trump says Putin has no plans to attack NATO after drone incident in Leipzig

The US president has responded to an attempted attack involving a Ukrainian aircraft in Leipzig that has been linked to Russia. There is no reason for concern, Trump said.
Trump reassures NATO
A journalist asked Trump whether a drone carrying explosives found at Leipzig Airport should be considered an attack on NATO territory.
The US president replied that he did not think Putin would attack NATO.
"I speak to him. I know him very well. Putin’s not looking to attack NATO territory," Trump said.
Attempted attack in Leipzig
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that on September 1, Germany officially accused Russia of a hybrid drone attack on Leipzig Airport. Berlin is closing Russia's consulate in Bonn, terminating an agreement on the Russian House and pushing for new EU sanctions.
It was also reported that on the night of August 5, a drone carrying explosives was found at Leipzig Airport near a Ukrainian An-124 cargo aircraft, prompting the airport to temporarily suspend operations.
In addition, an FPV drone struck the most vulnerable part of the aircraft's wing, where the fuel tanks are located. This indicates that the attack was targeted.
