According to Reuters, Trump announced on his social media platform TruthSocial that he plans to meet with Tesla founder Elon Musk on Monday, August 12.

US election
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 5, 2024, with the newly elected president and vice president set to take office at noon on January 20, 2025, following their inauguration.
Following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race, the presidential candidates are Donald Trump (Republican) and Vice President Kamala Harris (Democrat).
Trump has stated his willingness to debate Harris on September 4 on Fox News (a network reportedly favorable to Republicans).
However, Harris’s campaign has rejected Trump’s proposed debate conditions and is insisting on a debate on ABC News on September 10, as previously agreed upon when Biden was still in the race.
Whether the debates will occur remains uncertain. Both candidates have indicated they will appear on the platform they prefer, which could mean a solo appearance without a debate. ABC has not commented on whether they would allow Harris a solo appearance if Trump does not attend.
