Trump reveals first details of talks with Zelenskyy

US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have concluded their phone conversation. It went "very well," the US leader wrote about this on the social network Truth Social.
"Just completed a very good telephone call with President Zelenskyy of Ukraine. It lasted approximately one hour. Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs," Trump emphasized.
According to the US leader, he asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz "to give an accurate description of the points discussed." A corresponding statement will be published "shortly."
Trump-Zelenskyy talks
Rumors circulated online yesterday that US President Donald Trump was planning to call Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Today, March 19, Zelenskyy confirmed the scheduled conversation with Trump.
The parties were expected to discuss Trump's talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which primarily focused on Russia's war against Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president, in particular, wanted to hear details from the US regarding the idea of halting strikes on energy infrastructure for 30 days — a step Putin reportedly agreed to during negotiations with Trump.
