The US Department of State has reported that President Donald Trump is determined to realize his vision of ending the war in Ukraine. He plans to act aggressively, says Tammy Bruce, spokesperson for the US State Department.

State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that she thought the president, Donald Trump, was the person who would make those decisions, and that he continued to be aggressive in his approach to ensure that his vision for ending the conflict (Russia's war against Ukraine - ed.) was realized.

She also emphasizes that Trump is quite transparent in his assessment of the situation and demonstrates patience, but will honor his commitments to NATO to support Ukraine's defense.

Trump gives Putin 50 days for peace deal

Recently, US President Donald Trump threatened new tough measures against Russia because of the Kremlin's unwillingness to end the war in Ukraine.

Trump said he would impose 100% retaliatory tariffs if a peace agreement is not reached within 50 days. Such restrictions will affect countries that continue to support trade with Russia.

According to Reuters, the introduction of these tariffs could seriously affect Russian oil exports to China, India, and Türkiye, the main buyers of energy from Russia.

Recently, the head of the President's Office, Andrii Yermak, said that US President Donald Trump could end the war in Ukraine by the end of 2025.

What will happen to Putin after the 50-day deadline, read in RBC-Ukraine's article.
