Trump pledges US efforts to help Ukraine regain occupied territories

The US will make efforts to help Ukraine regain as much of the territory occupied by Russia as possible and aims to negotiate the best possible deal, stated US President Donald Trump during a meeting with government officials at the White House.
He mentioned that the US government wants to secure the best peace agreement that would be accepted by both Russia and Ukraine.
The President stated that efforts would be made to ensure Ukraine regains as much territory as possible. However, he emphasized that peace is not guaranteed.
Trump also did not rule out the possibility that he might not be able to end the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Just a few days ago, President Trump suggested that Ukraine could potentially regain control of some of the territories currently occupied by Russian forces.
The US says concessions are needed
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that to end the war in Ukraine, both Ukraine and Russia would need to make concessions.
At the same time, the US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, mentioned that some territories of Ukraine could remain under Russian control as a result of the peace process. However, Kellogg emphasized that it would not be necessary for Kyiv to legally recognize this.
