Trump on possible trilateral meeting with Zelenskyy and Putin: Depends on today’s talks

A trilateral meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US President Donald Trump, and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place only if today’s talks between Zelenskyy and Trump are successful, stated Trump during his meeting with Zelenskyy.
"If everything works out well today, we'll have a trilateral meeting. And I think there will be a reasonable chance of ending this war," Trump said.
Trilateral meeting and Alaska talks
European diplomats are looking for a venue for a potential trilateral meeting involving Zelenskyy, Trump, and Putin.
Trump and Putin held talks on August 15 in Alaska.
Among Putin’s possible demands is the recognition of occupied Ukrainian territories as Russian in exchange for troop withdrawals from other areas. However, territorial issues are planned to be discussed only with Zelenskyy present in future negotiations.
According to RBC-Ukraine, Zelenskyy is willing to participate in a trilateral format in any configuration if the meeting takes place.
