Zelenskyy up for a face-to-face with Putin? RBC-Ukraine insiders weigh in

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in any format. RBC-Ukraine reports this, according to its own source.
When asked whether Zelenskyy was ready for a one-on-one meeting with Putin, an informed RBC-Ukraine source said: “We’re open to any format, we have no problem with that. It’s Putin who’s not so keen.”
Asked what official Kyiv expects from the Trump–Putin meeting, the source replied: “For us, the main goal in Alaska is a ceasefire.”
Alaska summit
On August 15, US President Donald Trump will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska.
The central focus of the summit will be securing a ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia.
If the talks prove successful, Trump is prepared to hold a trilateral meeting later in the week, bringing together Putin and Zelenskyy as well.
According to The Guardian, the three leaders are considering holding that meeting either in Europe or the Middle East.
