Administration of US President Donald Trump is considering the possibility of halting all current military aid supplies to Ukraine. This could allegedly be a response from Washington to the quarrel between Ukrainian and American leaders, according to The Washington Post.

A senior official from Trump’s administration told the American media that the administration is currently considering this option.

It is also noted that this could be a response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s remarks in the Oval Office and a reaction to his perceived obstinacy in the peace process.

Meanwhile, CNN reports that there is no such risk and that the Trump administration does not plan to announce an increase in aid to Ukraine, but assistance is still being sent.

According to Western media, although Trump did not announce any new military supplies to Ukraine, the weaponry and equipment previously announced under Joe Biden’s administration are still arriving in Ukraine.

According to many American officials, there were no signs that anything changed immediately after the outburst in the Oval Office, CNN reports.

There are also many long-term contracts between arms manufacturers and the US regarding sending weapon systems to Ukraine, according to American media. These contracts were announced under the US Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) and were meant to ensure future weapon supplies to Ukraine.

Dispute between Zelenskyy and Trump at the White House

On February 28, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Washington. He met with American senators and US President Donald Trump.

However, during communication with the media, a quarrel arose between Zelenskyy and Trump regarding the war in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian President reminded that the war in Ukraine did not end under Barack Obama, Donald Trump, or Joe Biden. This provoked a sharp reaction from US Vice President JD Vance, and later from Trump.

It should be noted that Ukrainian President Zelenskyy left the White House earlier than planned. Meanwhile, Trump stated that Zelenskyy is not ready for peace.

Additionally, Europe, some American officials, and NATO have already come to Ukraine's defense amid the Zelenskyy-Trump dispute.
