The United States will not carry out strikes against Iran on the evening of Thursday, June 11, due to progress in the negotiation process, according to a statement by US President Donald Trump on Truth Social.
"Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, canceled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening," he emphasized.
These include the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Türkiye, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and other countries.
"The naval blockade will remain in full force and effect until this transaction is finalized - time and place of the signing to be announced shortly,” the US leader said.
Earlier, Trump announced a very powerful strike against Iran scheduled for this evening. He also said that the United States would, in the future, seize Khark Island and Iranian oil infrastructure facilities.
On the night of June 10, the United States carried out strikes against Iranian air defense systems, command posts, and a number of other military targets. In response, Tehran said it had attacked US targets in the Middle East.
Shortly afterward, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that further strikes could take place as soon as the following night or within 24 hours. During the night of June 11, US forces again carried out bombing raids on Iranian territory.
