The USA has increased oil production and is lowering prices, hoping in this way to speed up the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine, USA President Donald Trump stated on the Fox channel.

Trump emphasized that the United States is increasing oil production and doing everything possible to lower its price. According to him, this creates economic pressure, which can accelerate the end of hostilities in Ukraine.

The American leader appealed to other countries to lower oil prices.

"That will automatically stop the war with Russia and Ukraine. You get the prices down a little bit more, that's going to stop it. I am very disappointed in Putin, but they are losing, they kill 5 thousand people a week. From 5 to 7 thousand people die every week for no reason," Trump stated.

Recently, the President of the USA stated that he is ready to introduce "major" sanctions against the Russian Federation, but on condition that all NATO countries stop buying Russian oil.

Later, Trump called the sanctions of EU countries against Russia sufficiently weak and urged European partners to impose more severe restrictions.

Also, Trump announced a powerful sanctions strike on Russia. The oil sector and banks may fall under the restrictions.

RBC-Ukraine reported that the USA and EU countries are agreeing on a joint position regarding pressure on the Kremlin through sanctions concerning oil and gas.
