Trump claims he's 'entitled' to insult Harris because he doesn't respect her
US presidential candidate Donald Trump explained why, in his opinion, he was "entitled" to insult his opponent, Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris, informs ABC-News.
Trump justifies his position by saying that he doesn't have much respect for Harris or "for her intelligence," so he is "entitled to personal attacks."
"And whether the personal attacks are good, bad – I mean, she certainly attacks me personally. She actually called me weird. 'He's weird'," the Republican said during a press conference Thursday afternoon at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey.
Trump also reiterated that, in his opinion, Harris would be a "terrible president."
Recently, Trump has repeatedly insulted Harris after she became a US presidential candidate following the withdrawal of incumbent President Joe Biden from the race.
Harris's team has announced two rounds of debates with Trump. According to Michael Tyler, Harris's campaign communications director, if Trump shows up for the debates scheduled for September 10, the American public "American people will have another opportunity to see the vice president and Donald Trump on the debate stage in October."
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Trump, Biden, and Harris were victims of an Iranian hacking attack.
