US President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping tomorrow, according to Bloomberg.

A White House official said the meeting between Trump and Xi is scheduled for mid-Thursday morning, though the exact time has yet to be finalized.

Trump himself confirmed the upcoming meeting with the Chinese president.

"I look forward to it. We’ve been talking a lot over the last month, and I think we're going to have something that's going to be very satisfactory to both China and us. I think it's going to be a very good meeting. I look forward to it tomorrow morning, and then I will go back to the United States," he said.

Trump–Xi meeting

Trump and Xi have spoken at least three times this year — most recently in September, when the two leaders reached an agreement concerning TikTok's operations in the United States.

However, the last time the leaders of the world's two largest economies met in person was back in 2019, during Trump's first term in the White House.

Last week, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said at a press briefing that President Trump planned to meet his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, during the upcoming summit.

Shortly after, China officially confirmed that President Xi would visit South Korea at the same time President Trump would also be there.

Earlier today, it was reported that ahead of the meeting with Xi Jinping, President Trump even expressed his readiness to lower tariffs on Chinese imports, though, as he noted, under one condition.
