US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a phone conversation on Monday, March 10. They discussed Ukraine and the upcoming negotiations between US and Ukrainian delegations in Saudi Arabia, Sky News reports.

The call lasted 20 minutes, as confirmed by Downing Street. The Prime Minister's spokesperson stated that during the conversation, Starmer expressed hope that intelligence sharing between the US and Ukraine would be resumed as soon as possible following the meeting in Saudi Arabia.

"The Prime Minister said he hoped there would be a positive outcome to the talks that would enable US aid and intelligence sharing to be restarted," the spokesperson added.

US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer also discussed the economic agreement previously negotiated at the White House, noting progress in the talks. Both leaders agreed to stay in close contact.

Additionally, a spokesperson for the UK Prime Minister confirmed that British officials had been in contact with their Ukrainian counterparts following Russia's latest large-scale attacks on Ukraine.

Talks in Saudi Arabia

Negotiations between Ukrainian and US delegations are set to take place in Saudi Arabia tomorrow.

The US side will be represented by Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.

Ukraine’s delegation will include the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa.

Ahead of the talks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized Ukraine’s readiness for constructive discussions, hoping to agree on necessary decisions and steps.

Meanwhile, Secretary of State Rubio expressed optimism about the meeting, stating that the US is looking forward to constructive negotiations to clarify Ukraine’s position.
