Tragic fire near Kyiv kills two young children and a man

On the night of October 5, a fire broke out in a residential building in the village of Protsiv. Firefighters extinguished the flames, but during the operation they found the bodies of three victims, according to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv region.
Today, October 5, at 02:42, the operations and dispatch service of Boryspil district received a report about a fire in the village of Protsiv, Voronkiv territorial community.
Firefighters from the 23rd State Fire and Rescue Unit of Boryspil were dispatched to the scene, along with local fire brigades from the villages of Voronkiv and Holovuriv.
Upon arrival, rescuers found a residential building on fire and, according to neighbors, children were likely inside.
"Unfortunately, during the firefighting operation the bodies of two children, born in 2018 and 2019, and a man born in 1988 were discovered. The fire was extinguished at 05:53," the rescuers explained.
A total of nine personnel and four units of equipment were involved in the operation.
The cause of the fire is currently being established.
Massive attack on Ukraine
As a reminder, in the early hours of Saturday, October 5, the Russian Federation carried out a large-scale combined attack on Ukraine.
The occupiers used drones, cruise missiles, and Kinzhal missiles. Lviv and the region were hit the hardest, with a record number of strikes directed there.
According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the occupiers launched more than 50 missiles and about 500 attack drones, including cruise missiles, Shaheds, and Kinzhals.
