Head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak will go to the United States, according to RBC-Ukraine's sources.

"The Head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, is flying to the US," the source stated.

It is worth noting that yesterday President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine is negotiating with the United States regarding economic and defense agreements. According to him, Ukraine wants to propose a free trade agreement to the US.

Moreover, Zelenskyy announced upcoming meetings on this matter.

"There will be relevant meetings. I can say that they'll happen this week — well, I'm already telling this to the journalists. But I won't reveal the format for now. We're planning for it to take place in the US, where we'll raise exactly these two issues," the president said.

US assistance to Ukraine

In early May, it became known that the US State Department had sent a notification to Congress about a license to export weapons to Ukraine worth at least $50 million. This is the first arms sale contract approved during Donald Trump’s presidency. However, since his return to the White House, no new military aid packages for Ukraine have been announced.

Additionally, the US recently approved a $310 million support package for the maintenance and operation of F-16 fighter jets.

Furthermore, the United States approved the transfer of missiles from Germany to Ukraine - more than two hundred units in total.
