Tired of the same old fried potatoes? We know how to make them perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. A fragrant cheese sauce will turn the dish into a true culinary treat for the whole family.

Baked crispy potatoes recipe

Cut the potatoes into 4 pieces, or into 6 if they are large. Soak them in cold water, then boil in salted water for 10 minutes.

Drain and let the potatoes dry for another 5 minutes.

“The first key secret: once the potatoes are dry, gently shake or tap them in a bowl so the surface becomes rough. This is what creates the crispiest crust,” the chef explained.

Pour oil into a baking dish, about 2 mm deep. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on the preheated oil. Brush the tops with a little extra oil.

Bake in the oven at 200°C (392°F) for 40 minutes. Remove, toss, and continue baking in two stages of 20 minutes each.

At the end, you can turn on the grill/broil mode and roast for an additional 5–10 minutes until the potatoes are a rich golden color.

Optionally, lightly drizzle with apple or white wine vinegar. Place the potatoes on a paper towel and season with salt.
