Three air defense layers, trillion in losses: Zelenskyy on strikes deep inside Russia

Russia has deployed three layers of air defense around Moscow, bringing systems in from across the country. Even so, the defenses failed to prevent losses worth 1 trillion rubles, according to a statement by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The president said Russia brought air defense systems from across its vast territory to create a powerful defensive shield around Moscow. A somewhat smaller defensive network was set up around St. Petersburg.
At the same time, he stressed that every air defense system has its limits.
"No matter how much air defense you have, it will eventually run out of capacity, and we will continue to find technologies to counter them and make them feel it," the head of state said.
Strike on Russian logistics causes 1 trillion rubles losses
Zelenskyy said that in response to Russian strikes on Ukrainian logistics, the Defense Forces carried out their own operation targeting Russian logistics.
"The losses are staggering—1 trillion rubles. It was a very successful operation by the Ukrainian forces," the president said.
According to him, the operation involved the Armed Forces, Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian forces operate jointly during long-range and medium-range strikes.
As previously reported, Ukrainian forces have systematically targeted Russian logistics in recent weeks. In particular, Ukrainian drones attacked at least 10 warehouses belonging to the Russian marketplace Wildberries in Penza, Volgograd, Ryazan, Vladimir region, and other areas. Large fires broke out at the strike sites.
The attacks have dealt a serious blow to Russian logistics as the marketplace has already been forced to move some of its operations abroad.
