The capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, has endured a massive Russian drone attack for the third consecutive night. The air raid alert in the capital lasted for six hours, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reports.

Tkachenko specified that the enemy targeted the capital with strike drones. As a result of the attack, damage was recorded in the Dniprovskyi district of the city. Windows were shattered in one residential building. Furthermore, drone debris was found on the premises of a garage cooperative and a recreational facility.

"Fortunately, there were no casualties. I thank the Defense Forces for their effective work. Thanks to everyone who is eliminating the consequences of the attacks and helping the residents of the capital," the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration wrote.

Third massive attack on Ukraine in row

On the night of May 26, Russian forces once again launched a massive attack on Ukraine, using Shahed kamikaze drones. Over the past two days, Russia has carried out the largest missile-drone strikes since the beginning of the full-scale war.

Also, on the night of May 25, the aggressor attacked 13 regions of Ukraine. Russian troops then used dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as about 300 drones.

In addition, on May 24, Russia launched a combined strike on Kyiv, using both ballistic missiles and drones simultaneously. That day, 14 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 250 strike UAVs were launched across Ukraine. Air defense forces destroyed six missiles and eliminated 245 drones. According to Yurii Ihnat, Head of communications for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, nine ballistic missiles were specifically aimed at Kyiv.
