Iran would return to the negotiating table, since the country "has no cards," said President Trump in a Fox News broadcast.

"I predict they come back and give us everything we want. I don't want 90%, I don't want 95%. I told them I want everything. They have no cards," the American leader said.

He also defended his threat made a week earlier that an entire civilization would die in one night and never be reborn. This referred to an ultimatum with a deadline for Tehran to open the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, that statement is what forced Iran to sit down at the negotiating table and remain there.

What is essential is that the nearly day-long negotiations between the United States and Iran in Pakistan ended without a deal. Amid this, President Trump once again repeated threats on Fox News made ahead of the talks, including strikes on energy infrastructure.

"I could take out Iran in one day. In one hour, I could have their entire energy, everything, every one of their plants, which is a big deal. And I hate to do it, because if I do it, it takes you ten years to rebuild, and they'll never be able to rebuild it. And the other thing you take out are their bridges," he said.

US–Iran talks end in failure

On April 11 and overnight into April 12, talks between the United States and Iran took place in Pakistan. Following them, US Vice President JD Vance said the sides had still failed to reach an agreement to end the war.

Just hours earlier, Donald Trump said the meeting went well and that most issues had been agreed upon. However, he added that Iran's refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions nullified those gains.

In addition, President Trump announced that the US Navy would begin a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, no ship would be able to enter or leave the area.
