The world must not stay silent as Russia escalates war – Zelenskyy

Over the past few months, Russia has been steadily increasing the number of weapons used in its attacks on Ukraine. It is vital that there is no silence in response to this escalation by Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening address.
"I want to thank all political figures, community leaders, and every media professional — everyone who shares information about the Russian strikes on our cities and villages. It is vital that there is no silence in response to Russia's escalation, and it is clear that escalation is happening," Zelenskyy said.
He noted that for months, Russia has been steadily increasing the number of weapons used in its attacks on Ukraine.
"This is a persistent trend, and it shows that Moscow fears no one in the world — none of those who have called for an end to the killings and for meaningful negotiations to stop the war. Putin wants to keep killing and takes advantage of the lack of a strong response. They do not hear Washington. And that says a lot to the world — to everyone," the President emphasized.
June 10 attacks on Ukraine
During the night of June 10, Russian forces launched 315 attack drones and seven missiles targeting civilian infrastructure and residential areas across Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense managed to shoot down 284 of the drones.
Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told RBC-Ukraine that Kyiv was the main target of the assault.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already stated that today's strike was one of the largest attacks on Kyiv to date.
In Odesa city, Russian drones damaged a maternity hospital, a medical clinic, and several vehicles. Two men were killed in the city, and nine others were injured as a result of the strikes.
