Tavria front update: Over 600 Russians eliminated, several surrender

Over the past day, November 28, the Ukrainian military destroyed 639 Russian terrorists in the Tavria direction. Four occupiers also surrendered, reports the United Press Center of the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction.
As Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria Operational Strategic Group of troops, says, the Russians have significantly increased their activity in the Tavria direction in the past day, in particular, they are using armored vehicles.
Over the day, the enemy:
- carried out 17 airstrikes and 4 missile strikes;
- conducted 56 combat engagements;
- carried out 1006 artillery barrages.
Avdiivka direction
The enemy does not stop trying to surround Avdiivka.
"The offensive actions of the enemy to the south of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Tonenke and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region were unsuccessful, where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 27 attacks," the press service writes.
Maryinka direction
The Ukrainian military repelled 17 enemy attacks in the Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region.
Shakhtarsk direction
The Russians unsuccessfully stormed the southwestern part of Staromayorske and Vodiane Donetsk regions.
Zaporizhzhia direction
The enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults west of Verbove and Robotyne Zaporizhzhia region, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks.
Achievements of Ukrainian soldiers
"The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying troops, exhaust the enemy along the entire front line," the press service adds.
The Russians lost 639 individuals during the day, and 4 more surrendered.
In total, 48 units of military equipment were destroyed, including:
- 4 tanks;
- 7 APVs;
- 4 artillery systems;
- 1 anti-tank grenade launcher ;
- 22 UAVs;
- 9 cars;
- 1 unit of special equipment;
- 1 important enemy target
"Another 33 units of enemy equipment were damaged," the press service writes.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during the past day, November 24, Ukrainian soldiers eliminated another 1,040 occupiers. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 327,580 troops.
