Talks in Saudi Arabia thwart Russia's plans to sow discord between US and Ukraine - Zelenskyy

Russia is doing everything to sow discord between Ukraine and the United States of America (USA). However, yesterday's talks in Saudi Arabia thwart the enemy's plans, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a briefing.
"Russians will do everything to sow discord between Ukraine and America. And I believe that the very meeting in Saudi Arabia thwarts Russia's plans for a full escalation of relations between Ukraine and America. On the contrary, de-escalation is taking place. And this is how it should be between partners," Zelenskyy stated.
Talks between Ukraine and the US in Saudi Arabia
Yesterday, on March 11, a meeting between Ukrainian and US delegations took place in Saudi Arabia. The dialogue lasted for eight hours, resulting in a series of agreements:
- Kyiv agreed to Washington's proposal for a 30-day ceasefire along the front line. A decision from Russia is now awaited;
- The US, in turn, resumed military aid and intelligence sharing;
- The US and Ukraine will still sign an agreement on rare earth minerals.
It is also worth noting that in early March, a dispute arose between Zelenskyy and White House head Donald Trump during their meeting in the Oval Office. Following this, the US president accused the Ukrainian president of allegedly "not wanting peace."
