The Russian Federation should be present at the next Peace Summit, states Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis in his Twitter (X).

As Cassis explained, he signed a joint declaration with his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani, expressing "deep concern" over Russian aggression in Ukraine. At the same time, he stated that Moscow should be present at the next Peace Summit.

"We support holding a second Peace Summit that includes all parties, including Russia," Cassis wrote.

It is worth noting that the first Peace Summit was held in Switzerland at the beginning of June.

First Peace Summit

In June, Switzerland hosted the first Peace Summit initiated by Ukraine. Representatives from over 100 countries and international organizations attended the Summit, and some signed a joint communiqué at its conclusion.

It has since been revealed that Ukraine plans to organize a second Peace Summit by the end of this year, where it will present a plan for implementing the peace formula. Additionally, representatives from Russia may be invited to the second Summit. Several countries are advocating for Russia's participation, but there have been no comments from the Russian side regarding their involvement so far.
