Poland and Sweden will sign an agreement on cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil defense in light of the deteriorating security situation in Europe, reports The Guardian.

The agreement will be signed today, February 19, in Stockholm by Polish Minister of Internal Affairs Tomasz Semoniak and Swedish Minister of Defense Carl-Oskar Bohlin. The document will address issues such as the protection of civilians, security in the Baltic region, and resilience to hybrid threats.

Additionally, The Guardian reports that the Danish government plans to present a new defense agreement worth 50 billion Danish kroner (7 billion dollars) to "prove its preparedness in the face of criticism from the US which wants to gain control of Greenland."

Threat of war between Russia and NATO countries

The intelligence services of European countries confirm that Russia is preparing for war with the Alliance. Denmark's intelligence stated that Russia may be ready to launch a full-scale war against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) within the next five years.

As noted by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), some innovations made by Russia are now being used against member states of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Estonia's foreign intelligence services admit that, in the meantime, Russia is trying to build up its potential in preparation for a potential future war with NATO.
