Sudakov to Benfica, Vanat to Girona? Ukrainian talents making headlines

The summer transfer window in Europe's top leagues closes on September 1; in Ukraine, it ends on September 5. The final days are often the busiest for Ukrainian clubs and players abroad: from a potential Shakhtar record to the future leaders of the Ukrainian national team.
Sudakov and Benfica: Dream move
Until recently, Heorhii Sudakov's transfer seemed unlikely. Shakhtar announced sky-high prices, comparing a potential sale to Mudryk's transfer. However, the situation has changed.
According to the Portuguese press, Sudakov clearly told the club leadership that he wants to leave. Benfica is ready to pay around €25-27 million, while Shakhtar lowered the price from €60 to €30 million.
The intrigue is further fueled by a social media exchange between Sudakov and Anatolii Trubin, with the goalkeeper hinting they might become teammates again.
Konoplia and contract trap
Yukhym Konoplia could be Shakhtar's next transfer decision. The Ukrainian national team defender has a contract only until summer 2025, so the club risks losing him for free.
Recently, there were reports of Sevilla's interest, but the Spanish club must first free up a squad spot and determine priorities.
Kevin between England and Turkey
Another hot topic is Brazilian winger Kevin. Fulham is negotiating a transfer for €45 million, while Galatasaray sees him as a replacement for Baris Yilmaz. And the player himself has already asked Shakhtar to let him go.
Shakhtar is preparing to sell two stars at once. It is already investing in replacements. Lucas Ferreira and Isaque Silva have signed, and Luka Meirelles' transfer is close to completion.
Expenses may reach €50 million. However, they are offset by potential profits.
Dynamo: Vanat's future
Girona is ready to pay up to €15 million for Vladislav Vanat and a percentage of the subsequent resale. For Dynamo, this is a chance to get significant money, especially considering the poor start to the European Cup..
At the same time, reinforcement for Oleksandr Shovkovskyi remains unresolved. The Kyiv club has required defenders and attacking wingers for years, but there have still been no transfers.
Hutsuliak: Serie A interest
Polissia and Ukraine midfielder Oleksii Hutsuliak shared ahead of the Europa Conference League playoff return match against Fiorentina that two Serie A clubs are interested in him.
"Of course, I watch every match of my fellow countryman Artem Dovbyk and support his Roma. Right now, two Italian clubs are interested in me. Playing in Serie A would be a great happiness for me," the midfielder told Corriere dello Sport.
Zinchenko: Money or playtime
Oleksandr Zinchenko is at a crossroads. At Arsenal, he has lost his place even in the matchday squad, but his €9 million annual salary makes a transfer complicated.
He must decide what matters more: a leading role at another club or financial stability in London.
Dovbyk and Roma: Italian deadlock
Artem Dovbyk, last season Roma’s top scorer, is now on the verge of leaving.
Interest came from Villarreal, Newcastle, and Milan, but only specifics with the Rossoneri remain. A swap for Santiago Giménez is under consideration, but a final decision has not been made.
Lunin: New chance outside Real?
Although Andrii Lunin officially remains Thibaut Courtois' backup, interest in him persists.
Turkish giants Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray explored a transfer, and Manchester United even made an offer, which the Ukrainian refused.
Given Xabi Alonso's plans to find a new young goalkeeper, Lunin's leaving Real seems increasingly likely.
Maikon: Failed UAE move
Shakhtar was close to selling Maikon to Al-Nasr, but the deal collapsed due to Corinthians coach Dorival Júnior's decision.
The Brazilian club decided to keep the midfielder, despite Shakhtar's interest in financial gain.
The final days of the transfer window may be key for the future of Ukrainian footballers in Europe.
The spotlight is on Sudakov and Kevin at Shakhtar, and Vanat at Dynamo. Developments are happening hourly, and the outcome looks promising.
