US and Israeli strikes will not turn into a prolonged war because the regime in Iran is extremely exhausted and at its "weakest point" in many years, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, Fox News reports.
"I hear the people are saying you're going to have an endless war here. You're not going to have an endless war. Iran, this terror regime, is the weakest point that has been here," Netanyahu said.
According to him, the reason allies had to act now is that after joint strikes on their nuclear facilities last year, Iran began building new facilities – underground bunkers that will make its ballistic missile program and its atomic bomb program protected from aviation.
Netanyahu also assured that US and Israeli strikes will create conditions for regime change in Iran. According to him, 95% of problems in the Middle East are generated by Iran, so the fall of the regime will lead to a wave of peace agreements between Israel and its Arab neighbors.
Conflict in the Middle East
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation against Iran. In Tel Aviv, it was stated that the main goal of strikes is to prevent Tehran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Later, it became known about the death of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, along with at least four members of his family, as well as several high-ranking officials of the country. All of them were killed as a result of a series of missile strikes by the United States and Israel.
Tehran, in response, launched strikes on the territory of Israel and American bases in the Middle East. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the start of the most fierce offensive operation against the United States and Israel.
Also, yesterday, March 2, the US Embassy in Kuwait came under attack. After a series of Iranian strikes, a column of black smoke rose above the building of the diplomatic mission. Before that, Iran carried out strikes on American military facilities in many Middle Eastern countries.
