The State Emergency Service reminded that a fire broke out at a civilian infrastructure facility due to the Russian strike.

Rescuers arrived at the scene of the attack and began extinguishing the fires. Due to the threat of repeated strikes, they temporarily suspended their work.

"All fire sources have now been extinguished," the State Emergency Service reported.

According to preliminary information, there are no casualties.

Attack on Sumy

A Russian drone attacked the central market in Sumy this evening, August 15.

Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, released a video after the attack showing a large fire.

Meanwhile, Russia's Ministry of Defense claimed it allegedly did not attack Sumy or other Ukrainian cities.

Russian officials cynically accused Ukraine of staging a provocation ahead of the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.
