After the attack on the port of Kavkaz in the Russian Krasnodar Krai, several ships and a ferry were damaged. The relevant data became known from satellite images, Radio Liberty reports.

According to Planet Labs' images from August 23, the destroyed ferry and several small vessels nearby that may have been damaged by the strike are visible.

“The satellite also recorded damaged infrastructure. In particular, a part of the railroad track leading to the water was damaged. The images also show signs of a fire - fire trucks are parked near the shore,” the statement says.

Today, the Ukrainian Navy confirmed the liquidation of the Russian ferry Conroe Trader, which was located in the port of Kavkaz in the Krasnodar Krai.

Background

There was a strike at the Russian port of Kavkaz in the Kuban. Russian authorities say that a ferry with fuel was attacked, and smoke is visible over the port.

Initially, the occupation forces did not report that the vessel was damaged or what kind of damage it suffered. It was assumed that the Conroe Trader railroad ferry could have been hit.

On August 22, in the evening, the Russian military began to write that during another attack on the port of Kavkaz, the ferry Conroe Trader, which was located on the Taman Peninsula and provided fuel (as well as weapons) to the occupiers in Crimea, sank.

Later, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that the Conroe Trader had been severely damaged during the attack.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Navy probably hit the Russian ferry Slavyanin, which was also very important for the Russian occupiers' logistics.
