Ukraine has restored Starlink and Starshield satellite speeds to the levels recorded before restrictions were introduced. This will support frontline logistics and help defend against jet-powered strike drones, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The head of state said the restoration began overnight. By morning, connection speeds had become sufficient for satellite communications.

"The most important thing today: we restored Starlink and Starshield operations to the speeds they had before all these restrictions. The speed is now where we need it to be," Zelenskyy noted.

The president emphasized that these systems are crucial for the Ukrainian military. In particular, stable satellite communications are needed for frontline logistics and to protect Ukraine against jet-powered Shahed drones.

In the morning, Zelenskyy received a briefing from Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara. Following checks, the Ukrainian side confirmed that Starlink and Starshield were working.

The president also thanked the Americans and Ukraine's partners for taking the situation seriously and helping resolve it.

Zelenskyy also separately highlighted the role of US congressmen and senators, the media, the Department of State, and the US president.

Earlier, sources in Ukraine's Defense Ministry told RBC-Ukraine that military Starlink in Ukraine had restored speeds of more than 161 km/h on October 24.

Later, Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara said the ministry's monitoring systems recorded speeds exceeding 400 km/h while the connection remained stable.
