South Korean intelligence confirmed involvement of North Korean troops in Russia-Ukraine war
The intelligence agencies of South Korea and the US have separately confirmed that North Korean troops have deployed alongside Russian forces in the Kursk region, according to KBS and a briefing at the US State Department.
On November 13, South Korea's National Intelligence Service confirmed that North Korean troops deployed in Russia have already begun participating in combat operations after completing their training and gradual deployment on the battlefield over the past two weeks.
US Principal Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel stated during a briefing on November 12 that over 10,000 North Korean soldiers have been deployed in eastern Russia. Most of them have now moved to the western part of the Kursk region, where they have begun engaging in combat operations alongside Russian forces.

The North Korean regime has sent its troops to assist Russia in its war against Ukraine. Estimates suggest that between 8,000 and 12,000 North Korean soldiers have arrived in Russia to counter the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
