Martial law in South Korea

Earlier today, December 3, President of South Korea Yoon Suk Yeol declared martial law. Thus, according to the South Korean leader, he responded to "anti-state" forces that paralyze the basic functions of the state.

Following the announcement, military vehicles were seen on the streets of Seoul. The operation of the South Korean parliament was also blocked.

Despite this, National Assembly members convened and voted to lift martial law. Such a decision was binding on the President, so he had to fulfill it.
