Sony launches 5 long-awaited PC gaming gadgets every gamer will want

Sony has introduced five new products under its InZone brand, entering the PC gaming peripherals market. Previously, InZone only produced monitors and headphones. Now, the lineup includes a computer mouse, keyboard, and two new headphone models, creating a full range of accessories for gamers, The Verge reports.
InZone H9 II
The InZone H9 II gaming headset succeeds the 2022 H9 model. It is lighter and more compact, weighing 273 grams instead of 330, and features an adjustment button on the headband for a comfortable fit.
The new model features 30 mm drivers from Sony's flagship WH-1000XM6 headphones, delivering excellent sound quality for gaming and music. The headset also features active noise cancellation and a transparency mode that doesn't compromise audio quality.
Sound can be adjusted through the InZone Hub on PC or the Sound Connect mobile app. The ear cups swivel, and the headset can be rested on the chest between gaming sessions. You can also connect it via a 3.5 mm cable, even if the battery is dead.
Wireless connection supports both Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz USB-C simultaneously.
The headset is compatible with PS5 and Switch 2 and supports Bluetooth LE Audio, which extends battery life and improves sound quality when connected to two devices. New features include a detachable microphone, which is convenient for use with an external mic or outdoors.
The InZone H9 II is $349, $50 higher than the previous model's price.

InZone E9
The InZone E9 wired in-ear headphones are $149. They are compact, lightweight, offer good noise isolation, and are easy to use.
Connection is possible via a 3.5 mm jack or the included 3.5 mm–to–USB-C adapter, which is needed for sound customization in the InZone Hub app.
A key feature of Sony's gaming in-ear headphones is special hooks that secure the cable over and behind the ear to keep the wires from getting in the way during gameplay. The package includes a carrying case and multiple ear tip options.
The headphones are tuned specifically for FPS games. By default, they provide a flat, precise sound, so players can easily detect the direction of footsteps and gunfire.
While effective for gaming, the sound may seem dull for casual music listening compared to other in-ear models, such as the Linsoul KZ ZSX.
Sony remains one of the few major companies producing gaming in-ear headphones, alongside Razer. Future Sony models are expected to compete in sound quality with more affordable options.

InZone keyboard
Sony also released the wired InZone KBD-H75 gaming keyboard, which uses Hall Effect magnetic switches for faster and more precise response compared to traditional mechanical switches.
The keyboard is made of milled aluminum, making it sturdy and resistant to vibrations during intense typing.
It has a 75% form factor, which removes some navigation keys. Keys are easy to press, and the actuation point can be customized from 0.1 mm to 3.4 mm via the web version of InZone Hub, without the need to install an app.
The keyboard is quiet, making it convenient for use near others, though some users may miss the tactile feedback of traditional switches.
The InZone KBD-H75 costs $299.
One key feature is the 8,000 Hz polling rate, theoretically registering keystrokes every 0.125 ms. In practice, this may be excessive considering human reaction speed and potential performance issues in games.

InZone Mouse-A
The InZone Mouse-A is the first wireless gaming mouse in the lineup, priced at $149. It weighs just 48 grams, making it one of the lightest on the market. The mouse is designed for right-handed users and features a minimalist design: left and right buttons, two thumb buttons, a scroll wheel, and a profile switch button on the underside.
The mouse's soft matte texture felt comfortable for users with medium-sized hands, though some may miss a thumb rest. Clicks are quiet and fast thanks to optical switches that register presses faster than mechanical ones.
Sony also released two cloth mouse pads:
- Mat-F: 6 mm thick, moderate resistance for tactical shooters, priced at $59
- Mat-D: 4 mm thick, designed for fast movements and precise shots, priced at $34
Despite the high cost, Sony accessories demonstrate good quality and ergonomics, though the lack of novelty and high price make them less attractive compared to competitors in the esports market.
