Show at Russia's train stations: How Kremlin prepares new 'cannon fodder' for front

Russia has launched a propaganda train through the train stations of major cities. A show has been organized for Russians ahead of May 9, and they are also being offered the opportunity to sign a contract with the army, according to the Defense Intelligence on Telegram.
As noted by the Defense Intelligence, against the backdrop of a lack of significant success in the war against Ukraine, Russia is trying to find solace in myths about a "great victory."
In particular, ahead of May 9, Russia launched a propaganda train. It has already visited Moscow, Kaluga, Penza, and Tula, and is set to stop in over 70 more cities. At the train stations, museum exhibits from the World War II era are displayed, and patriotic concerts are held.
"Behind the outward shine lies another goal: recruiting new cannon fodder," the intelligence emphasized.
Russian men are being offered the opportunity to sign contracts for service in the Russian army right on the train platforms. They are promised "social guarantees" and "benefits for families." At the same time, schoolchildren are being encouraged to join military schools.
Mobilization in Russia
Recently, Russia announced the largest conscription of draftees in the last 14 years.
The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasized that such actions by the Kremlin indicate its intention to continue the war, despite statements about readiness for peace negotiations with Ukraine.
