The shooting near a railway station in the American city of Kansas City yesterday was caused by an argument between several individuals, not extremism. The incident occurred during celebrations for the local football team Chiefs winning the Super Bowl, according to Reuters.

Police Chief, Stacey Graves, noted that law enforcement officers had arrested two minors and one adult, and several firearms were found. According to her, the incident was caused by a dispute between several individuals, and the shooting was accidental, not a deliberate attack on the celebration.

Graves also added that two of the parade attendees had detained one of the three suspects.

According to updated police data, 23 people aged 8 to 47 were injured in the shooting. The only fatality in the incident was the popular local radio host Lisa Lopes-Galvan.

Police are trying to determine if anyone else was involved in the incident and promise to hold all those responsible accountable.
