Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska

Today, August 15, US President Donald Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin will meet. The main topic of the talks will be a ceasefire on the front and the potential end of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Earlier, it became known that five other Russian officials will accompany Vladimir Putin to the meeting.

According to Reuters, the US and Russian leaders may agree on the initial terms of a ceasefire without Ukraine’s participation.

The Kremlin stated that it allegedly does not expect any joint document to be signed during the Trump-Putin meeting. The talks will likely be limited to discussing possible settlement options and outlining next steps.
