The Russian Ministry of Defense has spread statements about the supposed "clearing of the foothold" on the left bank of the Dnipro river. This information is manipulation, according to the statement of the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and the Defense Forces of South Ukraine.

What Shoigu said

Today, the Russian Defense Minister claimed that the settlement of Krynky in the Kherson region had allegedly been cleared by Russian forces.

"In general, Russian military posts are already stationed along the coast of Krynky," he added.

The minister also said that the assault on the settlement involved paratroopers, soldiers from the 810th Marine Brigade, and the 45th Special Forces Brigade of the Airborne Troops.

Exposure of the fake

The Southern Defense Forces state that Russian occupation forces, failing in their assault on the left bank of the Kherson region, resorted to manipulation and falsification of facts.

"The military-political leadership of the aggressor country has announced the clearing of the foothold on the left bank of the Dnipro. We officially inform that this information does not correspond to reality," the military adds.

The Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold their positions, inflicting significant losses on the enemy.

The Ukrainian military also reports that following a single attempted assault during the day, the occupiers retreated to pre-prepared propaganda positions, falsely reporting the destruction of the foothold without being able to fulfill the task assigned by the command.

Successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank

Back in 2023, Ukrainian defenders managed to take control of part of the left bank of the Kherson region.

Recently, the DeepState project released a video showing Ukrainian fighters raising the Ukrainian flag in the village of Krynky on the left bank of the Kherson region.

At that time, the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, Natalia Humeniuk, emphasized that such success was important both for Ukrainian defenders and for the residents of the temporarily occupied territories.
